Wavelength is a Williams student group focused on fostering inclusion, diversity, and equity in physics and astronomy. Wavelength’s mission is to support marginalized students by providing resources, mentorship, and a sense of community, to improve retention and encourage further studies in physics and astronomy. To find out more about Wavelength and its activities, please contact Valeria Lopez (avm5).
The Williams College Society of Physics Students (SPS) serves to foster community amongst physics and astronomy students. The society hosts events like faculty lunches, egg drop competitions, and weekly “snacks.” SPS leaders also act as liaisons between students and faculty. SPS welcomes all students, and you are encouraged to stop by the physics and astronomy common room (PACR, TPL 108) to say “hi!” Student contacts: Jiwoo Han (jh24) and Justyn Friedler (jmf10).
