Fall 2021 Semester Highlights

The new semester begins with Prof. Jay Pasachoff, Visiting Prof. Marek Demianski, and Lecturer Dr. Kevin Flaherty teaching the courses.  Prof. Michael Allison, Director Emeritus of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, is joining the department as a non-resident Research Associate and Associate of the Hopkins Observatory and will occasionally be in Williamstown.  Associate of the Hopkins Observatory Prof. Marcos Peñaloza-Murillo is at home in Mérida, Venezuela, and does not currently have access to Williamstown. Prof. Anne Jaskot is on leave this semester.
  Courses for fall 2021 include Astronomy 101 for nonmajors, Astronomy 111 for pre-majors, and Astronomy 412 Heliophysics tutorial for majors.
