Amina Diop '21 wins Beth Brown Memorial Prize for poster presentation at NSBP meeting

This past weekend, Amina Diop ’21 won the Beth Brown Memorial Prize at the meeting this past weekend of the National Society of Black Physicists for her poster, titled “Vertical Structure of Turbulence around DM Tau.” The Beth Brown Memorial Prize is given in honor of the life and career of Dr. Beth Brown, the first African-American women to earn a PhD from the University of Michigan (you can learn more about her life in Part 1 and Part 2 of a documentary produced by her undergraduate alma mater Howard University).
